Walk in the Christmas Grand Place in Brussels

Christmas in the Belgian capital is beautiful, because from the end of November the city is decorated and awaits visitors!

The most central and perhaps the most important attraction of the city is the huge square Grand Place with stunning architecture. Christmas is decorated by a large Christmas tree, which each year has a completely different decoration.

For this year (2019), which celebrates the 400th anniversary of the famous Manneken-Pis, it is decorated with the colors of the Belgian flag. It has 40 red lights, 120 balls in the colors of the flag, 1.5 km garland and 50 small figures of Manneken-Pis.

Pressing here you can see the tree live in the square !!

But what steals the show is the sound and light show. This is a 360 degree show that takes place on the facades of the buildings in the square. It lasts 8 minutes, daily from 29/11 to 5/01.

The show takes place: from Sunday to Thursday, from 5 pm to 10 am, every hour. Friday and Sunday every half hour. New Year’s Eve until 6 in the afternoon.
