Travel Tips: Casa Terracota in Colombia

Undoubtedly it is one of the strangest and most special buildings in the world! It is also called Casa Terracota, also known as Casa de Flinstone, as it resembles the houses of the famous cartoon series.

Colombian architect Octavio Mentoza Morales wanted to present an alternative lifestyle that harmonizes perfectly with the environment. The building uses the 4 basic elements – earth, air, water and fire – and turns the earth into a building.

It is located in Colombia and specifically in Villa De Leyva. It is open to visitors daily from 8:30 to 5:30.

The rooms are made of natural materials and are really very impressive!
