Montjuic Hill is located in beautiful Barcelona, on the southwest side of the city center and is one of the main attractions of the city. Its name may mean “the hill of the Jews”, according to the Catalan language, or it comes from Latin and means “The hill of Zeus”.
It is 173 meters high and has amazing views across the city. Access is by cable car from Parallel metro station.
The experience with the cable car is really unique because as you go up you see the whole city and the sea below.
Montjuic was the center of the 1929 International Exhibition and the 1992 Olympic Games.
