The lake with pink water lilies

It is one of the most beautiful lakes in the world, because half the year is full of blooming pink water lilies. Located in region Thailand Udon Thani (350 miles from Bangkok).

From October to March every year the lake is more reminiscent of a field with blooming flowers, while the month that is in full bloom is December.

The locals, who even connect the lake with a tragic love legend, visit the lake by boat to enjoy the unique scenery.

The bright pink flowers are open from sunrise until about noon.

It is the largest lake in the northeast Thailand with an area of 152 and a depth of 1-2 meters. The water comes from the river Nam Pung coming down from Phu Phan mountains.

The lake is used for fishing, but is unsuitable for swimming. The area around the lake has become a public park.

Depending on the season and the weather conditions, the landscape changes but it is always enchanting!

The most romantic …. boating!
